Educational Background

I graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2017 with an MA (hons.) in English Literature and History focusing on postcolonial studies. I then completed an MA (Cand. Mag.) in Advanced Migration Studies at the University of Copenhagen in 2019, writing an ethnographic thesis on the sanctuary movement in the United States of America and sub-national immigration policy. I received an MA in Sociology from Rice University in 2022, using data from the National Center for Education Statistics' Early Childhood Longitudinal Survey to write a thesis on the impact of food insecurity on school experiences and outcomes for young children with foreign-born mothers. In 2023, I completed a graduate certificate in teaching at Rice University's Center for Teaching Excellence.
